BEAM Plus is a comprehensive environmental assessment scheme for buildings recognized by The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC). BEAM provides building users with a single performance label that demonstrates the overall quality of a building, either a new or refurbished building or one that is already in use.

The BEAM Plus assessment scheme includes the six aspects of a project, they are:

• Site Aspects, Energy Use, Indoor Environmental Quality, Materials Aspects, Water Use & Innovations and Additions

A rating would be issued to the project according to the scoring after Provisional Assessment (PA) or Final Assessment (FA), they are:

• Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze & Unclassified

Certification by BEAM Plus is now one of the prerequisites for the granting of gross floor area (GFA) concessions for certain green and amenity features in development projects as a policy to foster a quality and sustainable built environment and an effective measure to promote green buildings in Hong Kong. The concession available, having met this and other requirements, is capped at a 10%.

  • 1. To conduct BEAM Plus Gap Credit Assessment for preliminary design stage
  • 2. To advice for the BEAM Plus Project Registration to Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC)
  • 3. To prepare BEAM Plus Specification for Tendering including Demolition Works, Foundation Works, Super-Structure/Construction Works
  • 4. To provide advice to relevant parties for their preparation of documents for the submission to HKGBC for Provisional Assessment
  • 5. To provide advice to relevant parties for their preparation of documents for the submission to HKGBC for Final Assessment
  • 6. To assist in submission to HKGBC for Provisional Assessment
  • 7. To attend meeting in a needed basis.
